FLOWERING PERIOD AND BOTANICAL CHARACTERISTICS
It is possible to find the plant in bloom in the summer.
It is a very common, perennial herbaceous plant, up to one meter high, with a long stem with a quadrangular section, woody at the base, robust and very branched.
The lower leaves are opposite and provided with a short petiole; the medians are larger, trilobed; those placed higher are sessile, lanceolate, serrated or whole and are progressively reduced. All the leaves are leathery, wrinkled, gray-green in color and covered with a light down.
The flowers are gathered in spiked inflorescences at the armpit of the small bracts and are of a color ranging from pink, to lilac, to white, small in size and without any showiness.
The fruits are heart-shaped compressed capsules, inside divided into 4 lodges each containing a seed.Note
