La Maddalena Archipelago National Park - Sardinia
NATIONAL PARK OF THE ARCHIPELAGO OF LA MADDALENA
The La Maddalena Archipelago National Park is located in the province of Olbia-Tempio and was established with Law no. 10 of January 4, 1994 and is classified as geomarine park.
Its surface is 5,134 hectares on land and 15,046 hectares on the sea and extends into a single municipality (Municipality of La Maddalena).
The Archipelago consists of seven main islands: La Maddalena, Caprera, Santo Stefano, Spargi, Budelli, Razzoli and Santa Maria.
The area, together with the French islands of Lavezzi, will be an integral part of the Strait of Bonifacio International Park, decided on October 31, 1992 in Aosta by the ministers of the environment of France and Italy.
The activity of the park is regulated by the Management Committee of the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park.
